Courteney Cox says she is missing 'physical touch' of Snow Patrol boyfriend Johnny McDaid

Courteney Cox says she is missing the ‘physical touch’ of her Irish man.

The Friends star admitted she is missing her Snow Patrol boyfriend Johnny McDaid.

Cox said told how this is the longest time the lovers have spent apart since meeting over seven years ago.

Speaking on the Ellen Show, the actress, 55, explained that songwriter Johnny, 43, from Derry had left the country just before the Covid-19 restrictions came in for work.

McDaid was on his way to Switzerland to write and had to go to the UK first and then got stuck due to Covid 19.

She said: “I have not seen him for so long.

“You don’t realise, and we spend a lot of time on Facetime but I just miss his physical touch. This is hard.

“He left, he was supposed to go to Switzerland to write, but he had to go to England first and then all of a sudden it happened, they called quarantine, so it has been so long.”

The actress, best known for playing Monica on iconic sitcom Friends, revealed she has been killing time during the restrictions by re-watching the show to rejig her memory of some of the most popular moments.

The actress admitted the move came due to her limited recollection of a lot of the scenes, and told how she often gets caught out with Friends trivia quizzes, unable to answer the questions.

‘I remember the people and specific things that happened, but my memory is not great when it comes to fun times. I remember pain I think.’

As the new biggest fan of the iconic sitcom, Cox said the Thanksgiving episodes are her favourite, but told she most enjoyed her time playing ‘overweight’ Monica.

She said: ‘I’ve only seen the first season so far, but the Thanksgiving one where we all had the flashback [is my favorite].

“I loved playing overweight Monica because I felt so free. ‘I could dance…like you [Ellen] and just sit up and dance and have no problem at all.

“Those are really good episodes.’
