Courteney Cox said goodbye to her Snow Patrol fiance in March – and hasn’t seen him for more than 200 days.
The Friends star, who lives in California, last spent time with Derry-born Johnny McDaid before he returned to the UK seven months ago.
The 44-year-old musician flew back just one day before California stopped letting in visitors due to the pandemic.
But although the long distance meant the couple couldn’t celebrate their seventh anniversary in September in person, Courteney, 56, insists she isn’t feeling too lonely.
She has been spending lockdown with her 16-year-old daughter Coco, as well as former co-star Jennifer Aniston and a small number of pals.
Courteney, whose character Monica worked as a chef, has been using her free time to perfect the art of cooking. Speaking to Foy Vance on his Vinyl Supper podcast and video series, she said: “I cook every day, I’ve learned to cook so much more, I’ve perfected it. I haven’t seen John in that many days, he left when the country shut down, the day before.
“Sundays are different, I miss a lot of it, although people are starting to go, ‘OK, people have been quarantining, everyone’s safe’, and they like to come to the beach, so I’m not that lonely.”
