TIRUPATI: The Nampally court on Monday extended the judicial custody of YS Bhaskar Reddy till April 29.
He was arrested by the CBI on April 16 in connection with the murder case of former parliamentarian YS Vivekananda Reddy.
Before YS Bhaskar Reddy's arrest, Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy- a close aide of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy was arrested by the CBI on April 14.
The Telangana high court granted the CBI six days custody of YS Bhaskar Reddy and Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy for questioning from April 19-24.
As the six day custody period of Bhaskar Reddy and Uday Kumar Reddy ended on Monday, the Nampally court extended YS Bhaskar Reddy's remand till April 29 and Uday Kumar Reddy's remand till April 26.
The duo were shifted back to the Chanchalguda central jail later in the evening.
Meanwhile, former Kadapa SP Rahul Dev Sharma who was part of the special investigation team constituted by the TDP government in the immediate aftermath of the YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder in March, 2019, met the CBI officers investigating the Viveka murder case at Hyderabad on Monday.
