Couple walk out of shop with £400 coats on without paying as police launch appeal

Police have released a image of a man and woman they would like to speak to after two expensive coats were stolen from a shop.

A man and woman walked into the Go Outdoors store on Wilson Patten Street in Warrington and tried on two coats worth around £400 each. The couple then walked out of the shop with the coats on.

The ECHO understands that the couple are thought to be from the Merseyside area.

Police have now released a CCTV still of two people they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

A spokesman for said to the ECHO : "Police have released a CCTV image of two people they would like to speak to in-connection with a theft at a shop in Warrington.

At 6.30pm on Friday 4 October two coats were stolen from Go Outdoors on Wilson Patten Street in Warrington.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers believe the man and woman in the CCTV image may have important information to help with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises them or think they may know who they are asked to get in touch."
