A creative couple have shared their incredible kitchen makeover - which is unrecognisable from its former self.
Ryan and Jo bought a Victorian flat in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and when it came to renovating, they had some quirky, unique ideas.
The former kitchen was dull and ordinary, but the couple wanted to give it a new lease of life to suit their style - which they call "atmospheric and artistic".
The couple wanted to do the job as cheaply as possible, and so they found bargain buys, upcycled existing furniture and kept some of the flat's original features to create the cool instagrammable space.

Explaining the process of their kitchen transformation, Ryan, 26 and Jo, 29 told Lick : "We've worked to find a nice balance between modern and classic by bringing back some of the flats original features whilst also experimenting with weird and different designs when it comes to decorating.
"We have a ‘crack effect’ which we’ve experimented with multiple times whilst painting, we came up with an idea to mimic that look by actually cracking the new tiles for the kitchen."

They added: "We were 50/50 on whether it would flow and have continuous cracked look, it turned out easier than expected with only a few wasted tiles.
"We’re glad we did it as it looks great and it’s something we haven’t seen before in someone's house."
The pair wanted to try to do everything themselves to save on costs.
"On the subject of paint, it’s surprising how much of a difference you can create just by freshening up your home with some new colours.
"Not just walls either; doors, door frames, stairs, banisters, radiators, wooden floors, and of course, you can do that yourself which means cutting the cost of labour."
"We’re always on the hunt for bargains whether it be online or in salvage shops and even back lanes.
"Somebody on our back lane was chucking out loads of doors, we grabbed one and repainted it, replaced the handles and made something of it.
"It is a D.I.Y renovation so we cut huge amount of labour costs by doing majority of the work ourselves. Some people like to argue that you won’t get the same result as using professionals but at the end of the day, what’s the fun in that?".

When it comes to recreating this look the pair say "Just try it, you’re creating your own style whilst feeling a sense of achievement at the end of everything you do."
The couple are sharing their home renovation on Instagram to their account @anotherfknflat.
