Couple's Instagram photo has landed them in big, big trouble

An Instagram couple have been criticised after sharing a 'stupid' and 'dangerous' photo on their popular travel page.

US bloggers Kelly and Kody, who use the name positravelty, posted a photo of them posing on the edge of an infinity pool in Ubud in Bali.

Kelly is hanging on the outside of the pool, dangling at what looks like a worrying height, held only by Kody.

But fans aren't impressed, with many concerned people could try and copy the dangerous pose.

The photo, which has been liked 18,000 times, was shared with the caption: "Our greatest strength in life, our most important principle, is discernment.

"Only you can know your body, feel the space around you and understand your capabilities.

Many people believe the photo is dangerous (positravelty/Instagram)

Blogger sobs as she hits back at people who got her Instagram deleted and says 9-5 'isn't for her'

"We would all do well to remember this, knowing that not every action, style or path we witness through others is or should be, replicated.

"At the end of the day we are to hold ourselves accountable for the decisions that we make."

While many fans loved the photos, others thought it was just plain stupid.

One wrote: "Brave? Brave is going out fo fight in war. Not this. What if she slipped and died? Would you still be calling her brave? Think about what you're trying to influence here guys."

The couple shared lots of photos from their trip (positravelty/Instagram)

Another commented: "Just stupid!!! But hey... the most important thing im the world is to have a nice pic... even if you risk your life... stupid... really really stupid."

A concerned fan wrote: "IDIOTS! Showing their 50k followers how to BE STUPID FOR A INSTAGRAM PHOTO! Where is this world going? It's your life but if you choose to be a freaking blogger and inspire people, maybe don’t create dangerous content like this. Sick of hearing those horrible news where someone gets injured or dies trying to take a perfect picture. Copy cats will definitely try and take a picture like this."

It's far from the first time Instagrammers have been slammed for putting themselves in dangerous situations in a bid to get the perfect picture.

Earlier this year Portuguese bloggers Raquel and Miguel, who blog under the name Explorerssaurus shared two photos from their journey through Sri Lanka.

In the photo they are both hanging out the side of the train holding on to the bars.

Raquel who is the furthest out of the train, is standing on one leg while Miguel kisses her forehead.

The train is travelling over a bridge and appears to be extremely high up over an area of greenery.
