A woman has shared photos of herself with her boyfriend before and after editing them to show the reality of "perfect" Instagram photos.
Make-up artist and personal trainer Holly Cockerill regularly shares edited images to highlight how quickly and easily a person's looks can be changed and uploaded to social media.
Holly, from Blackburn, has now shared a series of images featuring her boyfriend Dale.

The original versions are on the left, while dramatically edited versions appear on the right.
While the photos are drastically different, Holly says they were easily changed within minutes using an app.
One photo shows the couple stood in front of a Christmas tree.
Dale wears a red Christmas hat, while Holly has her blonde hair tied back.
The edited version to the right shows Dale with veneers, with his face looking more tanned and his beard looking fuller. Holly's hair has suddenly become thick, voluminous brunette locks cascading over her shoulders.
Her face looks considerably more made up, with her lips and eyebrows fuller.
Another image is a selfie of the couple smiling with their mouths closed. The edited version shows beaming grins with big white teeth.
Captioning the post, Holly said: "On today’s episode of ‘why you shouldn’t believe everything you see on social media’ but let’s make it BOYFRIEND EDITION!
"Even guys use this app, probably not as much as girls but even if it’s just changing the smallest of details it makes a massive difference!
"You can add a smile, take off a smile, add veneers, add hair, take off hair, add makeup, take off makeup, change the structure of your face, nose size, eye size, lip size, the list goes on!!"
Holly continued: "The amount you can do with these apps is absolutely crazy so until you see someone with your own eyes, don’t believe everything you see when your scrolling through Instagram.
"NEVER COMPARE".
The post has amassed more than 1,500 likes and dozens of comments.
