An amorous couple's uncomfortable reaction after realising they've been caught kissing on camera at a football match has gone viral.
The couple pause and suddenly begin acting like strangers after the woman realises they have just been filmed.
Their apparent moment of discomfort has prompted speculation the pair may have been trying to hide an infidelity.
But if they were indeed attempting to cover up an illicit rendezvous, it appears to have backfired as the footage whipped around the world.
The pair’s highly public display of affection was broadcast by a camera during a football friendly in Ecuador on Saturday.
They were filmed kissing each other during half-time at Barcelona Sporting Club’s match against Delfin.
The unidentified man, who was kissing and cuddling his companion when they were picked up on the kiss cam, is nudged by the woman as she appears to notive being filmed.
He whips his arm away and replaces his smile with a grimace as he appears to try to avoid any sort of eye contact with the brunette he had just been kissing.
The woman, who seconds earlier had melted in the arms of her partner, appears to shift uncomfortably in her seat before looking down at the ground.
Several South American papers speculated the man had been caught cheating on his real girlfriend, although there was no confirmation of the claim this morning.
Mexican sports paper Record wrote: “If you’re thinking of cheating on your other half, a football match in a stadium with thousands of people in the stands and millions more watching on TV would be the last place you’d go…unless you’re this nice Barcelona SC fan in Ecuador.”
Another fan commenting on the footage joked: “The good thing is no-one is interested and nobody saw the Barcelona-Delfin match.”

The couple filmed launched into an intense smooching session when they were picked up by the kiss cam at a New York Knicks game on New Year’s Day.
The boyfriend even held up his phone to record their ten seconds of fame.
