Couple robbed in Glasgow city centre park as police launch investigation

Police have launched an investigation after a couple were robbed in a park in the city centre of Glasgow.

Officers were called to Garnethill People's Park on Hill Street in the early hours of Saturday morning following the incident, which took place near to both Sauchiehall Street and Cowcaddens subway station.

Cops confirmed enquiries are currently underway in response to the robbery.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live : "We were made aware around 12.40am on Saturday February 29 of a report of man and a woman being robbed in Garnethill People's Park, Hill Street.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
