Couple revamps old coffee table to make cosy dog bed - and it cost only £16

A savvy couple have revealed how they upcycled their coffee table into a cosy pad for their dog for only £16.50.

The pair managed to pull off the bargain DIY project using items they already owned, as well as a few purchases from B&M - and it turned out brilliantly.

What started as an old unused wooden coffee table was completely transformed with the help of a lick of paint, bedding and hard-work .

The first thing they had to do was remove the legs sand the coffee table - which was originally purchased from B&M a while back.

Then they painted it a light grey colour, and, using a £1.50 tester pot of white paint and some stickers, also spelt Rodney's name on the back of the bed.

Once they added a cushion and a blanket it was ready (Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group/Facebook)

All that was left was to flip it upside down and add a comfy cushion and throw blanket.

The pair took to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK to share the amazing before and after pictures, and was soon inundated with comments for other avid diyers and dog owners.
