A couple re-enacted their wedding vows to try and cheer themselves up during the lockdown across the UK.
Joe Leech, 39, and his wife Paula dug out their wedding outfits and headed out after becoming fed up in the house due to the Coronavirus lockdown.
The public have been urged to stay indoors and work from home to try and slow the spread of the virus.
Joe, a street cleaner from New Brighton in Wirral, said that he woke up with a sore head this morning after last night's informal ceremony.
He said: "My wife was tidying up in the house and going through all the drawers. She found her wedding dress and thought it was funny.
"We had been drinking a bit and so I decided to find my wedding suit too.
"The things drink and boredom do to you"
"It was a beautiful evening so we stood at the bottom of the drive and had a few pictures taken. We tried to exchange vows as best we could and exchanged rings.
"And then we had few more drinks inside the house. Hence the sore head this morning."
Joe and Paula, who is known to family as Chickie, married five years ago.
Joe posted a message on social media which read: "Out of boredom we decided to dust off our wedding suits after five years and re-create our wedding day.
"The things drink and boredom do to you. "
Joe, who was named after blues' legend Joe Royal, said that he hoped this story would help cheer some people up.
The Everton fan sad: "You can only spend so much time cleaning the house and going through the cupboards. I know its a stressful time for everyone but we need to remember to smile."
The dad-of-four is a street cleaner and is still working full-time.
He said: "Yes we are needed in work to keep the streets clean and bins emptied. We just try and get on with if. I suffer from a bit of asthma so I have been a bit worried by the corona pandemic.
"But my employers have been great and have made a few arrangements to reduce my exposure to colleagues.
"But I like work and enjoy the banter with the lads who are all Liverpool fans."
