Couple cause fury among parents after they wear racy t-shirts to Disney World

Sexually suggestive t-shirts that have been spotted at Disney World have caused a stir online, with some calling for them to be banned completely.

On Friday former Disney Creative Sam Carter shared an image on Twitter of a couple walking hand in hand through the Florida theme park with apparently sexual language emblazoned on their t-shirts.

On the woman's shirt the classic D of Disney was used with the strapline: "I wanted the D.” The man's said: “I gave her the D.”

Carter wrote alongside the images: "D is for don't." His tweet sparked a conversation about whether the shirts are tasteful or not, and whether they should be allowed in the park.

“If they banned these shirts from ever being allowed in a Disney park again I wouldn’t be mad," one person tweeted.

Another tweeted: “D is for discomfort" - Kind of tacky to bring to a theme park."

A third questioned: "I just don't understand how they were let through the gates how sad. Ban them."

However, some people thought they were just harmless fun.

One wrote: "It’s only inappropriate if YOU think of it in the inappropriate way. Get your minds out of the gutter... a kid sees the unmistakable Disney D not the D you do."

Another put forward: "'I gave her the Disney.' If you read anything else into that; it’s [your] misfiring programming. She wanted a trip to Disney and she got it."

"Kind of tacky to bring to a theme park," one person said, with another disagreeing: "But why ban it? It's not obscene. If you know what it's talking about, your mind is already corrupted. It's a lot milder than some of the innuendo in Disney cartoons."

On the Disney World website, the company state: “We reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other guests."
