Wishaw newlyweds are appealing for the public’s help after the bride lost her engagement ring on the day of their wedding.
Damian Dobbin and Camila Velazco were wed on Saturday, February 13, at St Patrick’s Church in Craigneuk in a small ceremony due to COVID restrictions.
However, shortly after ceremony, Camila realised that she had lost her engagement ring.
A search was launched within the church and around the grounds but sadly it could not be found.
Damian said: “We realised just after the service had taken place. Camila was absolutely gutted. When we found out we looked everywhere on the day but couldn’t find it.
“It didn’t spoil our day and on that night Camila was fine but now we would really like to find it.
“I am hoping someone has spotted it and picked it up.”
A post on Craigneuk Community Council’s Facebook page has been shared more than 100 times.
The group posted: “Looking for help from the good people of Craigneuk. A young bride lost her engagement ring at her wedding in St Patricks.
“If any one comes across it, can you please hand it into the chapel?”
Damian is convinced the ring can be returned and is appealing to anyone who may have stumbled across it to hand it in. He added: “I spoke to Father Krzysztof at St Patrick’s regarding it and have asked if anyone hands it in to leave at the church.
“It’s either been lost in the church, in the grounds or in the street. It’s obviously very important to Camila so hopefully we can get the ring back.”
