Sorry to say that’s all from Edgbaston, with 4.52pm on the clock and the draw agreed. Warwickshire take 13 points, with Yorkshire 11. In the end we saw Yorkshire resisting the bowling threat of Sam Hain’s slow full tosses, some lesser spotted Ian Bell off spin - he bowled medium at Lord’s last week, I am informed - and finally Tim Ambrose ditching the gloves for some cream pies, as the visitors reached 73 for two with Gary Ballance 21 and Andrew Gale 13. Two wickets to fall in Yorkshire’s second innings were Adam Lyth, trapped lbw by Jeetan Patel, on eight and Alex Lees caught at fine leg off Boyd Rankin for 20. Warwickshire can take some pride in edging this rain/snow/light affected encounter, with their earlier 443 for nine declared seeing them take maximum batting points and deny Yorkshire a third bowling point. Rikkie Clarke, dropped first ball, made a quickfire 51, while Ambrose was unbeaten on 61. Warwickshire, by virtue of playing three matches and drawing each, go top of the table.
Adam Lyth now has his 21st first-class wicket with Jonathan Trott caught by Alex Lees on 74 at slip, edging an arm ball. Warwickshire 270 for five, trail by 109 runs. 80 overs done now, new ball due but looks like Adil Rashid is continuing.
Just over an hour gone at Edgbaston and we have seen two wickets so far this morning, with Adam Lyth the man to pick up the second for his 20th first-class victim. Lyth had only come on to send down a few off breaks before the new ball but profited from Sam Hain dancing down the pitch, missing the ball and Jonny Bairstow comfortably whipping the bails off for a simple stumping. Hain gone for 15, Warwickshire 253 for four in the 76th over with Trott unbeaten on 72 and looking in very good order.
Vithushan Ehantharajah picks up the pigeon story...
#Properdelay that: batsman notices first. Fielders walk in to have a look. One of them clearly asking out loud "is that bird shit?"

Morning all, play underway here at Edgbaston and we’ve just seen the first wicket to fall in the fourth over with yesterday’s centurion, Varun Chopra, slashing at one from Steve Patterson but edging through to Adam Lyth at second slip. Sharp catch, head high, ball was too close for the shot. So he’s gone for 107, with Warwickshire 220 for three. Jonathan Trott oozing class at the other end – has already clipped a couple of fours and moved to 47 not out.
Elsewhere I understand there was a slight delay at The Oval due to either pigeon poo or a dead pigeon. Details sketchy at this stage.
Morning all
Today we have Ali Martin at Edgbaston for Warwickshire v Yorkshire. Here is his report from yesterday:
Enjoy the cricket.
