Country star Josh Turner's tour bus crash leaves one dead and seven injured

The tour bus for country singer Josh Turner, known for his songs Long Black Train, Your Man and Would You Go With Me, has been involved in a tragic road accident.

The bus was departing Josh's concert in California last night and was carrying eight people, not including Josh.

One person has died, two passengers suffered from major injuries and five had moderate injuries.

The names of the victims have not been released to the public yet.

The Twitter account for the local fire department confirmed the details of the crash.

They wrote that a passenger bus went off the roadway in Shandon at 11:42pm local time.

The bus was leaving Vina Robles Amphitheatre after the concert.

Josh has not yet released a statement regarding the crash.

Alongside photos from the crash, the fire department confirmed Josh and his band were not present in the vehicle.

Several of Josh's 581.6k Twitter followers rushed to check he was not involved and to offer their sympathies.

Josh has received two Grammy nominations, one for Male Country Vocal Performance, and one for Country Album of the Year.

His single Time Is Love was dubbed the biggest country hit of 2012 by Billboard Year-End.
