Popular country singers Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock recently got into a fight at the Born & Raised festival over the weekend with video footage showing Bryan shouting at Adcock from the other side of a barbed wire fence, at one point even hopping the fence to get to his rival.
The pair have been engaged in an ongoing feud for some time now and it came to a head on Saturday at the country festival just before Adcock was set to take to the stage. A clip of the altercation was posted to Instagram by Gavin Adcock along with the caption, “When you get death threats from Sack Cryin before you headline in his hometown.”
Bryan, who’s had a few controversies in the past, was mocked by Adcock’s fans, “It’s a good thing security was there because Adcock would’ve wiped the floor with the little man,” wrote one, while another added, “He’s a angry elf.”
However, the clip posted by Adcock didn’t show the whole altercation. In another clip posted to Facebook, Bryan can be seen scaling the barbed fence and rushing towards Adcock only to be stopped by security. This time around commenters were less than kind towards Adcock, “Hi I’m Gavin Adcock I’m a tough guy on stage but in person [I] call for cops,” one person joked, “Gavin sure didn’t have much to say about Zach in person” another chimed in, “Weird how that works.”
Gavin Adcock didn’t want to go to jail over Zach Bryan
When pressed by fans on why he chose not to square up to Bryan after he climbed the fence, Adcock explained that he “Had a show to play for Oklahoma. Wasn’t going to jail over that Psycho,” according to Penn Live.
Of course, not everyone bought Adcock’s explanation with many calling him out for “hiding” behind his security. The two singer’s fans took turns criticizing each musician with some agreeing that Bryan was a “psycho,” while others think Adcock should have back up his words with actions, encouraging him to engage in a physical confrontation.
Why are they even feuding?
According to PEOPLE, the feud started back in July when Adcock shared a post to X calling out Bryan for the way he reacted to a teenage fan. “If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14-year-old old why do people idolize you?” he wrote, “That kid was head over heels to meet you … He’s got feeling too and a you’re a ‘grown man’ nearly 30. They’re the only reason you are around.”
Bryan’s response was to argue that fans were not entitled to his time after a two-and-a-half hour show as he told Adcock to “GOMD” (Get off my d—). From their things snowballed as they so often do and it all culminated over the weekend with the two almost going at it. Of course, it looks like the beef will only continue after the display at the festival with there being little chance of the two moving past their feud.
