This is hotter than the likes of France and Croatia, which are both recording highs of 27C.

Likewise, the Netherlands is currently sitting at 26C and Portugal is around 23C.

However, the Met Office has warned Brits to enjoy the warm weather whilst they can.

They said the mercury is expected to push 30C across England but scattered thunderstorms are also forecast to return.

A yellow weather warning for rain has also been issued by the Met Office across much of England and Wales on Saturday and Sunday.

It warns that heavy rain and thundery showers may lead to flooding and transport disruption over the weekend.

Forecasters predict Merseyside will escape any thunderstorms but there will be heavy showers on Saturday from 1pm to 10pm.
