Stephen Curry’s initial plan of playing against the Milwaukee Bucks on his 32nd birthday is going through some changes. Curry’s birthday showdown against Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee has been postponed as the NBA is currently on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Since being drafted by the Warriors in 2009, the Warriors are 4-2 on Curry’s birthday. However, in Golden State’s 117-106 win against the Los Angeles Lakers in2018, the six-time All-Star was out with an ankle injury on his 30th birthday.
In five games, the two-time Most Valuable Player is averaging 25.4 points on 49.4% shooting from the field and 50% from beyond the arc, with 6.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.4 steals per contest.

2011 — 23rd birthday at Sacramento Kings
In Curry’s second season in the league, he spent his 23rd birthday in Arco Arena against the Sacramento Kings. Curry played 24 minutes in Golden State’s 129-119 loss to the Kings.
The NBA Sophomore scored 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting with five of his makes coming from 3-point land. Al Thorton led the Warriors with 23 points against Marcus Thornton’s career-high 42 points in 41 minutes for Sacramento.
2015 — 27th Birthday vs. New York Knicks
In Golden State’s first championship campaign in the Steve Kerr era, the Warriors welcomed the New York Knicks to Oracle Arena on March 14. Curry served the Knicks 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting with six 3-pointers on his way to winning his first MVP award.
Curry notched a double-double by adding 11 assists, three rebounds and three steals in the Warriors 125-94 blowout win against New York. Klay Thompson gifted Curry 27 points on his birthday, matching his fellow “Splash Brother” with six 3-pointers on 10 attempts.
In addition to celebrating his 27th birthday, Curry broke out his Under Armour “Surprise Party” signature shoes against the Knicks.
2014 — 26th birthday vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Before the Warriors rivalry with the Cavaliers blossomed into what it was during the LeBron James era, Curry celebrated his 26th birthday against Cleveland at Oracle Arena.
Curry netted 27 points on 8-of-17 shooting with five makes coming from long distance. The first time All-Star added eight assists, three steals and four rebounds in 36 minutes. However, it wasn’t enough against the Spencer Hawes, Dion Waiters and Kyrie Irving led Cavaliers.
The Warriors dropped Curry’s birthday party in Oakland, 103-94 to Mike Brown’s Cavs.
2016 — 28th birthday vs. New Orleans Pelicans
In Curry’s unanimous MVP season, the Warriors hosted Anthony Davis and the Pelicans in Oakland on March 14, 2016.
Golden State’s birthday boy tallied 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field. Curry added four 3-pointers, five rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals in 31 minutes in Golden State’s 125-107 win against New Orleans.
2017 — 29th birthday vs. Philadelphia 76ers
In Golden State’s second championship run of the Kerr era, Curry recorded his highest-scoring birthday night in 2017 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Curry led the Warriors with 29 points on 8-of-23 shooting from the field and 5-of-13 from beyond the arc. Curry was a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. The sharpshooting guard filled the box score with six rebounds, five assists and three steals on his 29th birthday.
Thompson added 28 points, and Draymond Green recorded a near triple-double with 20 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and six blocks in Golden State’s 106-104 win over the Sixers.
