Counter-terrorism police arrest Adelaide teenager accused of 'intent to kill or cause harm'

Counter-terrorism police in South Australia have arrested and charged a teenage boy from Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs.

SA Police said the boy from Felixstow had been charged with possessing an item with "intent to kill or cause harm".

Few details about the arrest have been released, but police said the boy was refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Youth Court on Friday.

He was then remanded in custody and will reappear in court on Wednesday.

"The investigation is ongoing and there are no safety concerns for the public," police said.

The arrest was made by SA Police's Counter Terrorism and Security Section.
