Countdown to Georgia football (historical edition): No. 94 – the late Quentin Moses

With 94 days left, today we honor another DGD, defensive end Quentin Moses. Moses was born on November 18th, 1983 in Athens, Georgia. The 6’5, 260 pound lineman attended Cedar Shoals High School, where he was named to the AJC Top 50 in Georgia.

He attended UGA from 2005-06, where he tallied 77 total tackles, 16 sacks, 32.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. He was drafted at the 65th overall pick in 2007 by the Oakland Raiders.

Moses played a few seasons in the NFL for the Raiders, Cardinals, and Dolphins before losing an NFL job. Unfortunately, Moses lost his life to a house fire on February 12th, 2017. May he rest in peace.
