Countdown to Christmas in East Kilbride has begun with weekend of festive fun

The countdown to Christmas has officially started in East Kilbride after a weekend of celebrations.

Father Christmas hosted one of a number of Santa’s Grotto days, with Rudolph and the magical elves helping to create a winter wonderland.

Then, on Sunday, the Village was awash with fun, activity, well-wishes and anticipation as the East Kilbride lights were turned on.

Band ‘Ernest’ rocked the crowds with some classic festive hits, and Olaf and Kristoff from Frozen, along with some Minions helped spread festive cheer.
