When EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa shared the renovation journey for her Essex house, the property quickly gained fans.
Her Instagram account for the house, for example, has almost 500,000 followers. Now, though, there’s good news for fans looking to replicate Jossa’s Essex lifestyle: a neighbour's home is sale with Next Home Ltd with a guide price of £2 million.
Jossa and her husband Dan Osborne bought their six-bedroom house in Billericay for £1.1 million in 2021, according to Land Registry records.
Jossa plays Lauren Branning in EastEnders and won I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2019. Osborne, on the other hand, rose to fame in The Only Way is Essex, and participated in Big Brother in 2018.
“We have so much to do, it’s a big old project,” wrote Jossa on her Instagram account for the house. “Garden needs some serious work and actually, the house needs a lot of tender love and care.”
The renovation involved updating their bathroom and kitchen, where they added patterned tiles to the floor and splashback, white cabinetry and a navy kitchen island.
As well as redecorating, they upgraded the cinema room on the property’s ground floor. The rear garden had a complete overhaul, with the couple installing a bar —complete with a neon ‘The Osbornes’ sign— home gym, football pitch and fire pit.
“I love clean the aesthetics plus the natural light,” Jossa wrote. “Therefore, I wanted to find products with soft tones and clean lines.”

Jossa and Osborne, who married in 2017, are reported to have separated this year.
The seven-bedroom house now for sale is a similar size, at over 3,600 square feet.

Its current owner, a property developer, purchased the property for £630,000 in 2022 and initially applied for planning permission to develop four flats on the site, before deciding to expand the existing “chalet-bungalow” into one vast family home.
According to planning records, the original building was converted into a two-storey house, with extensions to the front, rear and sides more than doubling the property’s footprint.
The owner also designed the house’s layout and interiors, creating an open plan kitchen and living space with three sets of full-height bi-folding doors opening out onto the garden.
Six of the house’s bedrooms are on the second floor, with a further bedroom above. Here, the bath was so large that it required seven people to carry it up the stairs and put it in place.
Security at the house is also extensive, with a gated entrance, a bulletproof front door —priced at over £20,000— and a biometric entry system.
Glenn Jacobs, the agent for the property, believes these security features are likely to support the kind of public-facing buyers that the area attracts.

“Set on one of Billericay’s most prestigious private roads, the home sits among a number of high-end properties, and the area is believed to be home to celebrities such as Amy Childs, Jacqueline Jossa, and Dan Osborne – adding to its allure for buyers seeking privacy and profile.”
The seller claims to have received a rental offer of £10,000 per month from a West Ham football player, but has instead chosen to sell the property in order to be closer to family.
“This home would suit families moving from London looking for space and luxury, professionals who enjoy entertaining, or anyone seeking a lifestyle upgrade in a discreet, well-connected location,” says Jacobs. “It offers the best of both worlds – peaceful suburban living with the city just a train ride away.”
