Leeds city council's local authority grants are to be dramatically reduced as part of the government's deficit reduction plan.
Revenue grant funding will reduced by £12.2 million and capital grant funding will be reduced by £6.96 million.
Initial details of where the cuts shall be made nationally have been released here. The executive board will have to consider how to deal with the grant reductions.
Council leader Keith Wakefield said he was going to "make sure that frontline services are a priority".
A national local authority grant reduction of £1.166 billion was announced on June 10.
The executive board has requested a detailed report on the implications to the council and options to meet the funding gap, to be presented at the next executive board meeting on 21 July.
Conservative leader Councillor Andrew Carter said: "We are willing to work with you to make these savings."
