A council has left locals sniggering after erecting a veiny 20ft wooden carving in a park - which has a rude resemblance.
The statue, which has veiny carvings running up and down the wooden shaft, was erected in Beaumont Park, Huddersfield, on a nature trail.
Designed by the artist Heather Crompton, other detailed woodland designs such as rabbits, squirrels and birds also feature on the carving.
But rather unfortunately for the local artist, people have become distracted by the rather unusual shape of the wooden carving, which has social media users in tears with locals making jokes at the expense of the shape.
The 20ft wooden carving is expertly crafted but the shape, according to many social users, resembles something similar to a man's genitalia.
Locals were left rather unimpressed where their council tax was being sent whilst others made cheeky references to the veiny 20ft carving online.

According to The Sun, visitors to the park were left rather baffled with the design as one visitor to Beaumont Park asked: "Come on — is this where our council tax is spent? On giant d***s?"
Whilst another, rather cheekily, posed the question whether the carving was "made of hardwood".
One user on social media joked:"Us ladies appreciate the artwork and don’t want it to flop.”
A user responded to one of the online posts by claiming her sister had carved the tree as she came to sister's defence. The woman wanted people to focus on the detailed drawings of the animals on the tree, not the unfortunate shape of the carving.
She said: “My sister carved it — and all the animals on the trail.
"I’m so proud of how talented she is."
