Could you pass the British citizenship test?

Anyone who wants to live or settle in the UK has to take an official test as part of their application process - answering 24 questions in 45 minutes on all aspects of what it means to be British.

The Life in the UK Test is based on a hand-book and online learning package which applicants have to revise if they want to stand a chance of passing the test.

It covers areas of British culture, politics, history and heritage and well as asking about famous people and how our country works.

The test costs £50 to complete - and the revision materials also have to be paid for.

The Government website reads: "You’ll be tested on information in the official handbook for the Life in the UK Test. You should study it to prepare for the test. The handbook is available as a book, an eBook, an e-Learning subscription or in audio formats.

"You’ll have 45 minutes to answer 24 questions about British traditions and customs."

Do you think you could pass - are you British enough? Try these sample questions below.

The test has to be taken by everyone who wants to become a UK citizen if they are aged between 18 and 65, unless you get a note from a doctor.

So how did you do?
