Are you thinking of adopting a dog? Sox, a 12-year old Border Collie cross, could be the perfect pet for you.
This "lovely girl" has been at the SSPCA shelter in Edinburgh for over a year and is in need of a forever home.
Staff at the shelter say she "will do almost anything for a treat" and is a very intelligent dog with an active temperament.
Sadly, Sox was cruelly abandoned in a house and was very nervous when she first arrived at the shelter but staff have gradually built up a bond with her.
SSPCA say the ideal owner for Sox would be someone who has experience with nervous dogs and dogs with existing issues, to help bring out the best in her.
Sox will also require an adult only household with its own fully enclosed garden where she can safely further her training and would need to be the only animal in the house.
