Could you eat this 'deep-fried burger bomb' that weighs a kilo and looks like a giant scotch egg?

A slightly-terrifying deep fried burger bomb, which weighs a kilo and contains over 1000 calories, has had people talking on social media.

A restaurant chef in Perth, Australia, has come up with the creation and you'll never believe what's in it.

It contains just the two beef patties, four slices of cheese, a pinch of lettuce, onions and pickles – and is then coated in breadcrumbs, deep-fried and drizzled with cheese.

Do you think you'd be able to give this a go? Feel free to have your say in our poll below.

The Mirror reported that the video was uploaded on Instagram by food bloggers Cory and Leon.

It has been viewed more than 31,000 times by meat lovers, although many expressed their shock at the scale of the challenge.

One user 'ayeitsgeoff' said it's an 'instant heart attack' but he loves it.

Another one said: "Don't know what it was coated in but it still made my mouth water."

'Doublem_gmr' commented: "Jeeez! Different levels have been reached!"

But the scotch egg-like burger did not appear to attract some burger lovers.

'Another_food_blogger' wrote: "Hmmmmmm not so sure about this one guys."

'Luke_swalling' simply asked why ruin a good burger.
