Could we see Titans OL Nate Davis in Week 4?

The Tennessee Titans offensive line hasn’t had the best start to the 2019 season, allowing for a current league high of 17 sacks in just three games.

The absence of left tackle Taylor Lewan, who is currently serving a four-game suspension, has certainly been felt. The Titans are also suffering from injuries, with right guard Kevin Pamphile also having missed the first three games with a knee injury.

Part of the solution could be rookie guard Nate Davis, who the Titans drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Davis hasn’t seen action this season as he continues to recover from an injury he sustained in camp, but is making steady positive progress.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is looking to get him involved in this week’s road matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

“I want to try and play Nate,” Titans coach Mike Vrabel said in a report by the team’s Jim Wyatt.

“We are going to try and get him ready to go as soon as we possibly can and I’m hopeful that’s this week. … We’re trying our best to get him (ready) and I know he is. He wants to get back and he wants to try and help this football team.”

The rookie is also eager to get on the field with his teammates.

“I’m just trying to get back to being myself,” Davis said on Monday. “I am feeling good, and doing whatever the team asks me to do. I feel good, and I have a lot of support behind me. I am very anxious.”

The Titans and Falcons are set to kick off at noon CT on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
