Could UDFA running back Adam Choice make Seahawks roster?

The Seattle Seahawks acted quickly after the 2019 NFL draft ended, signing a dozen undrafted free agents to add to the competition for a roster spot in training camp.

Included among them was running back Adam Choice, who came to Seattle fresh off a national championship title with Clemson.

Choice was a force in college, averaging 7.1 yards per carry with seven rushing touchdowns his senior season. While his numbers were great, they didn’t lead to a selection in the draft thanks in part to his size (five-foot-nine and 209 pounds) and his average speed (4.52 in the 40-yard dash at Clemson’s Pro Day).

Seattle snapped him up and added him to the running back competition, a position that is already loaded at the top with Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny – not to mention J.D. McKissic, C.J. Prosise, Bo Scarbrough and rookie Travis Homer.

Choice’s college numbers are impressive, but his lack of elite size or speed will make his path to a roster spot a tough one – particularly with multiple other running backs battling for spots this year in training camp.
