Could the Titans trade for Cowboys OT La’el Collins?

The Tennessee Titans made a number of moves this offseason within the offensive line to better protect quarterback Marcus Mariota as he heads into the fifth and final year of his rookie deal.

But is there still more to do?

According to a recent take by Titan Sized’s Will Lomas, quite possibly. He pinned Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle La’el Collins as a potential trade target for the Titans.

“For the Titans, Collins could come in and immediately sure up the right guard position giving them a massive body with experience on the inside next to whoever wins the right tackle job,” he wrote. “This is very similar to what they did on the left side with Rodger Saffold.”

Lomas also noted nose tackle Antwaun Woods as a player the Titans should be interested in striking a deal for.

If Collins was acquired and panned out to be as successful as those like Lomas expect him to be, then it would absolutely make sense for the Tennessee to give up a future draft pick or a player on roster to bring improvement to an offense that is finally beginning to click.

Collins, a former LSU Tiger, originally joined the Cowboys in 2015, and has made 46 starts for the team over four seasons.

There’s no telling how likely it actually is for Collins to land in Nashville, and he’s already made it clear he wants to remain in Dallas.

“I would love to stay in Dallas my entire career. I love the Cowboys, I love Mr. (Jerry) Jones; I love the Jones family. I love everything about the whole organization and what they’ve done for me as a person and as a player. For me, it’s just all about going out there and taking it one day at a time, and proving myself, proving my worth, showing them that I want to be there by what I do and now what I say.”
