Could the Raiders sign another free agent wide receiver?

The Oakland Raiders have already made some massive upgrades to their wide receiver position this offseason. Outside of trading for Antonio Brown and signing Tyrell Williams, the team also released veteran Jordy Nelson, clearing a roster spot for a younger player.

The team is pretty set at the top of the roster, with Brown being the team’s No.1 and Williams being the No.2. But could the Raiders be interested in grabbing another receiver in free agency?

Oakland may need a slot receiver as Seth Roberts has underperformed in the last few years. Luckily for Oakland, there are some quality slot receivers still on the market. Randall Cobb would make some sense, as would Pierre Garcon. Another option is Chris Hogan, who has had some success in New England. Keep an eye on J.J. Nelson, who could be had for cheap.

With the Raiders trying to totally rebuild their wide receiver corps this offseason, don’t be surprised if the team dips its toes back into the market again for a receiver. In fact, expect that to happen, even if it’s just a placeholder until the NFL draft.
