Could the Raiders be interested in signing LT Trent Brown?

With the Raiders agreeing to a deal to trade away Kelechi Osemele, Oakland needs to rebuild their offensive line. The team could use more talent at just about every position outside of center. That’s why it wouldn’t be surprising if the team chased some of the bigger names on the free agent market.

One name to consider is Patriots’ left tackle Trent Brown, who has started 42 games over the last three seasons at both left and right tackle. At just the age of 25, he is an ascending player whose best football is still likely ahead of him.

Could the Raiders be interested in Brown? According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Brown will be a target for the Raiders during free agency:

In 2018, Brown finished the season as Pro Football Focus’ 30th-ranked tackle. While he had somewhat of a “down year” in New England, his potential is through the roof. He would make for an excellent right tackle in Jon Gruden’s offense and it would allow the team to move Brandon Parker back to a reserve role.

Don’t be surprised if Oakland gets into a bidding war over Brown’s services.
