Monkey made a small banana bet that following the news that the Radio 1 top 40 chart could move to a different day of the week to take account of a plan to release all new music on Fridays that it would only be a matter of time before the return of Top of the Pops was mentioned. And so it has come to pass. Paddy Power is offering odds of 5-1 that the veteran music show will become a regular fixture again. And who would front it? The favourite to host it according to Paddy Power is Reggie Yates at 5-1, followed by Laura Whitmore and Fearne Cotton. Dermot O’Leary is 20-1 while Terry Wogan is 40-1. Odds for the rest of the field are bar this. Or just barred for legal reasons.
