Could RB Le’Veon Bell be the next Raiders’ target?

The Oakland Raiders just pulled off the biggest move of the offseason, trading for All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown. However, could there be another big transaction for the Raiders still on the way?

Le’Veon Bell is one of the biggest names on the free agent market, but could the Raiders have interest in another disgruntled Steeler? Oakland does have a need at running back, especially if Marshawn Lynch doesn’t return in 2019. Jalen Richard is a restricted free agent, but he is a part-time player that could play with Bell.

In terms of fit, Bell makes a ton of sense in Jon Gruden’s offense as he thrives as a receiver. Bell can line up in the slot, out wide or as a traditional back and have success as a receiver. And oh yeah, he just so happens to be a fantastic runner, as well.

If you are reading the tea leaves, it does appear that Bell would be interested in joining Oakland. He recently followed quarterback Derek Carr on Twitter and has sent a few cryptic tweets about his next destination.

If the Raiders were able to sign Bell on a somewhat modest deal, it would seem like a no-brainer. Bell is one of the most talented players on the market and would give Carr another reliable target. Don’t be surprised if Oakland targets Bell in free agency this week.
