Could Picnic in the Park be a scorcher?

Ayrshire's biggest open air free picnic is set to bring music, food and entertainment to McGavin Park in Kilwinning on Thursday, August 8.

And organiser Councillor Donald Reid is hoping the heatwave continues for this family day out which is now in its third year.

There will be free activites including entertainer Uncle Billy and Fabulous Fraser along with face painting, try-it sessions and stalls from KA:Leisure, Network Rail and the British Transport Police.

There will be giant slides and an assault course with giant inflatables set to keep young visitors entertained.
