LeBron James’ Q and A on Instagram Live from last week has spurred some questions from soccer observers across the pond in England, wondering if the Liverpool Football Club that James owns a stake in will use LeBron’s relationship with one of the best young footballers the world has ever seen, French National Team and Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe.
England’s Mirror wondered about the connection that James and Mbappe share, whom James shouted out on Instagram last week, cold benefit Liverpool in an attempt to land Mbappe in the transfer window. Mbappe is expected to garner interest from the biggest clubs in the world, such as Real Madrid, but Liverpool are in a great position as the 2019 Champions League winners and nearly perfect record during their 2019-20 Premier League campaign.
While LeBron showed love to Mbappe last week, it’s far from the first time that the two have shared a connection. James and Mbappe connected during the Summer of 2018 in France after Mbappe won the World Cup. Mbappe also gifted LeBron a French wine from LeBron’s birth year of 1984 as a gift to him last summer.
