Could Le’Veon Bell be the next Steeler to join the Raiders?

Now, with the Pittsburgh Steelers free of wide receiver Antonio Brown attention now turns to where running back Le’Veon Bell will land. He’s an unrestricted free agent and the Steelers have no intention of trying to sign him. Brown got himself a massive new contract with the Oakland Raiders and should finish out his career happy because he’s making a ton of money.

Seeing how willing the Raiders are to spend money and don’t seem to care about the player beyond their skills, Bell to Oakland makes a ton of sense. ESPN seems to agree.

Sources familiar with the Raiders’ thinking say they would like to use their salary-cap space on offensive players and find defensive solutions in a defense-heavy draft in which they hold four of the top 35 picks. Bell’s market has been a bit tough to figure out. I’ve heard the Jets, Ravens and Texans listed as interested teams, but no one seems to know who’s going to pay Bell $12-13 million a year or more. Jon Gruden and the Vegas-bound Raiders obviously aren’t afraid to be aggressive.

The Raiders have $63,683,880 million in cap space even minus the Brown contract so if they really want to load up on skill players, Bell could be swayed to come to Oakland to get that big contract he wants and join his fellow disgruntled former Steeler.
