Everton striker Moise Kean has been tipped to have the potential to become another Edinson Cavani.
The Italian international is currently on a season-long loan at Paris Saint-Germain where Cavani – now at Manchester United – is all-time leading goalscorer.
The Uruguayan hitman struck 200 times in 301 games for PSG having previously netted 104 goals in 138 matches for Napoli.
Even at 34, Everton have suffered at the hands of Cavani’s goalscoring instincts this season, with him netting in all three matches in which he has faced Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Kean, 21, registered on just four occasions in 37 outings for the Blues before being farmed out to France this term where he has so far scored 15 goals in 29 matches.
But PSG Talk report that such form has prompted RTL journalist Philippe Sanfourche to compare Kean’s game to that of Cavani’s.
They quote him as telling L’Equipe du Soir: “Everyone has seen it, if Di Maria, if Mbappe is so good, create so many situations, have so many spaces, it is because it was initiated, generated by the work of Moise Kean.
“There is a bit of Cavani in what Moise Kean does.
“He has an ability to start again immediately, with a physical density. It brings a lot of things.”
On Wednesday, the ECHO's Everton reporter Phil Kirkbride wrote : "The future of Moise Kean will also shape part of Everton's summer transfer plans.
"The Blues are prepared sell the 21-year-old for the right price which would open up room in the squad for a new striker.
"Whether that is King, or someone else, remains to be seen."
