Could Dez Bryant sign with Jaguars' after Marqise Lee injury?

Could Dez Bryant finally get his wish?

Since being cut last spring the ex-Cowboys wide receiver has made no secret that he wants to sign with a team that faces off against his former team this coming season.

And now it's possible he might get that chance.

On Monday, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone confirmed wide receiver Marqise Lee will undergo season-ending surgery for a knee injury he suffered during the team's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday. Lee will also be placed on injured reserve.

Lee is considered Jacksonville's top pass catcher and his absence would seemingly create a need for the team to add another wide receiver. And Jaguars star cornerback Jalen Ramsey has recruited Bryant on social media before.

Even without Lee, Marrone told reporters that the team was "very confident" with its current group of wide receivers.

However, he also didn't shoot down the suggestion that his team might sign Bryant.

"If we feel at any position we can get ourselves better, we're always going to look at that," Marrone told media members.

The Jaguars travel to Arlington to face the Cowboys on Sunday, Oct. 14.

Last week, despite some initial drama surrounding the meeting, Bryant traveled to Cleveland for an in-person sit-down with members of the Browns' front office and coaching staff.

Although, as revealed on HBO's 'Hard Knocks,' the meeting didn't quite live up to the hype. And Bryant remains a free agent.
