Could Dez Bryant fix the Steelers problems on offense?

Like it or not, the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive problems extend well beyond the quarterback situation. It hasn’t been ideal the Steelers have had to use three starting quarterbacks in six games. But regardless of who is under center, the Steelers wide receivers haven’t done their jobs either.

Veteran Donte Moncrief has been nothing but a letdown as a free-agent signing. JuJu Smith-Schuster was supposed to be the new No. 1 but has struggled in the role. You add in an injury to James Washington and a slow start by Diontae Johnson and you understand why the Steelers might want to add a player sooner rather than later.

Enter Dez Bryant.

Bryant continues to train, just waiting for his opportunity in the league. Bryant didn’t play in 2018 but had 69 receptions in 2017. Bryant is younger than Antonio Brown and has 531 career receptions. He’s been incredibly consistent and productive during his career. He’s a big target and the ultimate competitor.

There’s no way Bryant would be anything but an upgrade to the Steelers depth chart. Release Moncrief and sign Bryant. Who says no?
