'Could be blessing' - Bolton Wanderers fans verdict after Wycombe game postponed due to Covid

Bolton Wanderers will not be in action this weekend after the club's game against Wycombe was postponed because of several positive Covid-19 tests in the Whites camp.

Wanderers had been due to entertain the Chair Boys at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday, December 18, in League One.

However, the encounter has been postponed after positive Covid-19 tests in the Wanderers squad.

The match will be rearranged for a new date which is yet to be confirmed.

Wanderers fans took to Twitter after it was confirmed that there will be no game this weekend and many pointed to the fact that it could give extra time for injured players to return to fitness.

The likes of Amadou Bakayoko, Andrew Tutte and Gethin Jones are the players closest to making a return from their respective injuries, with the former due to have played a part against the Chair Boys had the game gone ahead as planned.

As things stand, Wanderers are next due to be in action against Morecambe on Boxing Day at home.
