Could AC/DC be returning to play Glasgow soon?

It could be the news every rock fan in the city wants to hear on a Monday!

There are rumours circulating online that the mighty AC/DC could be about to announce a new tour on Wednesday (July 17)- and that might mean a return to Glasgow could be on the cards.

Rock and Heavy Metal bible Kerrang! quote Kansas radio station V100Rocks, who claim that a 'source' told them that the band will be releasing details of a “2019-2020 world tour” on Wednesday.

The first rumours that something was happening began in August last year, when singer Brian Johnson and drummer Phil Rudd were spotted together at a recording studio in Vancouver, while in April this year AC/DC engineer and mixer Mike Fraser confirmed the band have been back in the studio working on “something”.

Added to that, popular U.S. radio host Eddie Trunk claimed the band were “absolutely going to tour again”.

Famous for iconic hits such as 'Thunderstruck', 'Highway to Hell' and 'Back In Black', AC/DC last performed in Glasgow at Hampden Park back in 2015 as part of their Rock or Bust world tour. Prior to that, they stopped of at the stadium in the southside of the city in June of 2009 on their Black Ice tour.

Stay tuned for more info - we'll let you know if the Rock 'n' Roll train is heading back this way!
