Cougars In The Pros: Ziggy Ansah Sets Sack Record

Two Cougars went 1-1 on Thanksgiving day along with three other former Cougs playing that weekend.

Here’s a look at what happened:

Taysom Hill and the New Orleans Saints played on thanksgiving. Hill had two carries for 13 yards and a kick return for 32 yards in a Saints win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Ziggy Ansah and the Detroit Lions took the field Thursday as well. Ansah had to total tackles and an assist along with a sack in a Lions loss to the Chicago Bears.

That single sack set a record for Ziggy with the most career sacks in the NFL on Thanksgiving Day with eight.

And on Sunday:

Jamaal Williams had 1 carry for 34 yards and a kick return as well for 23 yards in a Green Bay Packers loss to the Vikings.

 

Fred Warner had 6 tackles and an assist as well as a pass deflection in a niners loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kyle Van Noy had 5 total tackles and a stuff in  the New Englands Patriots win over the New York Jets.
