Costco recalls hundreds of thousands of socks due to second-degree burn risk

  • Over 200,000 pairs of 32 Degrees Heated Socks sold at Costco have been recalled due to a risk of second-degree burns.
  • The Consumer Product Safety Commission warned that the socks can cause injury when worn during high-intensity activities that generate friction, heat, moisture, and pressure.
  • There have been 14 reported incidents, with 13 involving first or second-degree burns from the socks.
  • Consumers are advised to immediately stop wearing the socks and return them to Costco for a full refund.
  • This recall follows another recent product recall involving approximately 740,000 Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans sold at Costco, Walmart, and Amazon, due to a metal cap on the handle detaching and causing injuries.
