- Panama's proposed 300-mile rail line would connect Panama City to Paso Canoas at the Costa Rican border, featuring 14 planned stations.
- Separately, private Swedish railway company Snälltåget is launching a new long-distance train service connecting Malmö, Gothenburg, and Oslo.
- This direct daytime service, starting on 15 June, will offer a six-and-a-half-hour journey across Sweden's west coast into Norway.
