Customers ordering from a newly-reopened branch of Costa have noticed higher prices across its product range.
The Avonmeads branch in Bristol is one of just four that reopened nationally on Friday, after lockdown led to the coffee chain closing most of its stores.
However, it is only operating a delivery service via Uber Eats, and there is a £3.50 charge for delivery.
One customer contacted Bristol Live to say she had noticed that the prices on the site also seemed to be more expensive than in store.
A Costa Coffee UK spokesperson said in response: "Like many other food and drink retailers using delivery apps, there is an additional charge of 25p per Costa Coffee item when ordering via Uber Eats.
"This helps ensure we can offer a wide selection of food and drink and invest in packaging that helps protect items when being delivered."
The spokesperson stressed that no in-store prices have increased.
A medium latte ordered via the site is priced at £3.10, which is more than the £2.55 it would cost to buy in store.
The branch opened alongside drive-thrus in Manchester and Mansfield, and another store in Manchester that is also only operating a takeaway service.
Costa closed most of its branches following the lockdown but kept 60 open inside hospitals, to serve key workers.
The chain has also given away more than half a million coffees to NHS workers and partnered with food distribution charities to donate surplus food and drinks.
Its range on Uber Eats includes its main line of hot and chilled coffees, hot chocolates, fruit coolers, sandwiches and sweet snacks.
