Costa Coffee will slash the price of iced drinks to just 50p for three days this week

High street coffee chain Costa is selling all iced drinks for just 50p this week.

To mark its 50th birthday, the company said it’s reducing a range of iced beverages for less than a pound from Tuesday to Thursday.

The deal applies on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, however it’s only available to those who register and claim it via the Costa Coffee Club app.

A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We are delighted to continue our 50th birthday celebrations by bringing Costa Coffee fans this amazing offer of ANY barista-made cold drink for just 50p.

"Whether you are meeting a friend in the park for a coffee and a catch up, or just want to pick up a handcrafted Iced-Latte, Costa Coffee has you covered!”

The promotion runs for three days - but only if you have the app (PA)

Aside from the Fruit Cooler and Frostino range, all other cold drinks can be snapped up for 50p for three days this week.

The discount follows a similar promotion on all hot drinks in April.

Costa re-opened its outdoor seating areas in England along with government guidelines a month ago – with plans to resume indoor drinking and dining from May 17 - when many more high street businesses will return to trading.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is today expected to give the go ahead to more than 30 people to meet outdoors, as hospitality returns indoors from next Monday.

Fans can return to sports fixtures in Step Three of the lockdown roadmap, with outdoor venues permitted capacities of 4,000 people or half-full, whichever is lower.

In the largest outdoor seated venues, where crowds can spread out, up to 10,000 people will be able to attend, or grounds can be a quarter-full, whichever is fewer.

Foreign holidays will also resume in selected countries such as Israel and Portugal.

The eased restrictions are set to be revisited every three weeks with hopes all measures could be eased by June 21.
