Costa Coffee is reopening its drive-thru at Castle Marina Retail Park in Nottingham today (Friday, May 15).
The site is one of 31 locations across the UK to return to business after lockdown so customers can buy a coffee "whilst on an essential journey."
A further 15 shops are reopening where customers can go inside for a takeaway coffee but none of those are in Notts.
Costa's Mansfield drive-thru was just one of four in the country to reopen at the end of April.
The chain's CEO Jill McDonald said: "Over the past three weeks, in line with Government guidelines, we have been trialling social distancing across a small number of Costa stores.
"We have also enhanced our hygiene procedures and adapted our operations, including contactless payment only and providing personal protective equipment for all team members.
"We have received some great feedback from our store team members and customers have responded well to our new ways of working. This has given us the confidence to re-open some more stores."
Enhanced safety measures in-store include sanitising surfaces frequently and hand-washing every 30 minutes.
Workers have also been provided with protective equipment and Perspex screens have been installed at counters.
Reusable cups are not being accepted at present.
