Cory Littleton named honorary captain by AAF’s San Diego Fleet

Cory Littleton will have to wait another six months until he plays an NFL game again, but he’ll be on the field Sunday night in a different capacity. The San Diego Fleet, a team in the Alliance of American Football, announced on Thursday that Littleton has been named an honorary captain for the home opener.

The Fleet take on the Atlanta Legends Sunday night at 8 p.m. at the Chargers’ old home, SDCCU Stadium – formerly known as Qualcomm Stadium.

Littleton is from Spring Valley, Calif., a city in San Diego County. He went to Mount Miguel High School, which is just 13 miles from where the Fleet play their home games. San Diego is the official AAF affiliate of the Rams, Chargers, Raiders and Lions.
