Cory Hill suffers hamstring problem as Tomos Williams and Wyn Jones also pick up injuries just days before Six Nations camp

Wales boss Wayne Pivac will be keen to discover the fitness situations of trio Cory Hill, Tomos Williams and Wyn Jones.

All three left the field during the Scarlets' defeat to the Cardiff Blues with injuries on Friday night.

Second row Hill and loose-head prop Jones will be the main concerns. Pivac is already worrying about the readiness of skipper Alun Wyn Jones, although Jake Ball appeared to come through his return to action unscathed.

Hill picked up a hamstring problem just 20 minutes into the match and had to depart the scene.

"It's always difficult to say after the game but Cory looks like he's twinged a hamstring," said Blues boss Dai Young.

Jones heads into camp as Wales' premier loose-head, with back-up options Rhodri Jones and Rhys Carre unproven at Test level.

The 28-year-old left early in the second half after taking a bang to the neck.

"Wyn is up and about. It didn't look like anything too serious, so I don't think there are too many concerns around him," said Scarlets boss Glenn Delaney.

Meanwhile, Young played down fears over livewire scrum-half Williams, who left with an arm issue.

"Tomos had a little bit of a bump on his shoulder but we don't think it will be too serious, hopefully," added Young.
